Distribution mains often represent 80-85% of all infrastructure assets. Usually sectorised into District Metered Areas (DMAs) and pressure reduced, the performance varies significantly, with a small proportion of DMAs (perhaps 20%) being responsible for a majority of intervention needs, especially leakage.

At WLLS, we are focussed on this 20%. We find the leaks and help to bring your nightlines down when others have not been able to.

Collectively, Customer Supply Pipe Losses (CSLs) are estimated to make up a significant proportion of reported leakage levels. 
The problem is that CSLs are distributed throughout the supply area, and expensive to repair, so we have reimagined the activity using the very latest technology to resolve CSLs quickly, efficiently and cost effectively.

By working demand-side of the meter to locate leakage on site, we reduce water and wastewater consumption leading to lower OPEX costs and reductions in operational risk and carbon footprint.

Leakage is what happens when the integrity of the pipes has been breached. Understanding pipe condition is at the vanguard of asset management practices and provides an opportunity to replace the pipe before leakage or bursts become an issue.

We work with those developing and delivering Pipe Condition Assessment services and offer complimentary services to any water company seeking to understand more about their assets, including condition assessments and deterioration surveys based on the catalysts that accelerate deterioration.

We work with water companies, technology companies and academia on special projects, research and development, as well as undertaking our own research and development programme too. As experts in our field, we work with others to push the limits of what is possible, and actively pursue our innovation strategy from the very top of the organisation.
